Community Service

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and creativity, QGA quilters have been stitching together not just fabric, but also a stronger community bond. Members dedicate countless hours to crafting quilts, reading pillows, and a variety of handmade items, all with the singular purpose of giving back to those in need. These items serve as a reminder of the power of giving and the difference that handmade gifts can make in the lives of recipients. As we continue to sew, we stitch threads of hope and kindness into the very fabric of our community, leaving a legacy of generosity and human connection. Thank you for all you do.

Jill Stutes from the RescYOU Group received the Reading Pocket Pillows for Benny's Friends. She was very excited to receive them. Thank you Guild Members for sharing your joy of sewing with Benny's Friends. Thus far Guild members have given 26 Reading Pocket Pillows to the RescYOU Group. Your support of their mission is greatly appreciated.

Our incredible guild members came together in a beautiful act of compassion and community. Dozens of handmade quilts were lovingly created and donated to families impacted by the recent floods in Texas.

Each quilt represents more than just warmth — it’s a symbol of care and comfort In times of loss and hardship, we hope these quilts bring a little light and love to those who need it most. Thank you to everyone who donated their time, fabric and creativity. Many members also made monetary donations to help defray expenses for Lynn McCay who will be transporting the quilts to Texas on August 22.

The quilts will be hand delivered to a local guild in the area. A special thanks to Patsy Jenkins and Ellen Caillouet for spearheading this project.
