Outstanding Member
of the Year-2026
The recipient of the Outstanding Member of the Year. We would like to recognize a quilter who has truly gone above and beyond to fulfill the mission of the Quilters’ Guild of Acadiana. Who has worked to preserve the culture and tradition of quilt making in the area, to encourage the education and understanding of the many aspects of quilt making and to encourage all individuals in realizing their creative abilities. She runs monthly sew days to encourage beginner sewers and works tirelessly to promote the community service charity work in providing hand made items to our kids in times of crisis. Items made and collected are Reading Pillows for Benny as well as bags, totes, pouches, and pillow cases are all for the Methodist Home.
A guild is only as strong as the threads that bind us together. To Jackie DuBose--thank you for your vision, your hard work, and your passion for the art of quilting and sewing. You inspire us all to keep creating and keep sharing.

Candidate displayed examples of leadership or significant involvement in major guild committees

Candidate worked effortlessly and effectively with other guild members to enhance workshops, programs, community service projects, or other guild events

Candidate models extensive quilting skills and generously helps other guild members improve their skills and expand their knowledge of the quilting process
This award is not given out every year - only when a member has been identified that displays award criteria qualities.
