The Wesley Center is a Methodist retreat center that hosts many groups and is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Lafayette just off of I-49. Alcohol is not allowed on campus and smoking is not allowed in rooms. No pets. It is peaceful, the food is great and there are places to walk and unwind.

Several quilters were able to attend Mass Saturday evening at the local church last year, so if you are interested, there should be a group going. Aunt Nell's quilt shop in Pineville is 30 minutes away just off I-49 North. If you would like to visit Friday or Saturday, the address is 1634 Hyland Park Drive, Pineville, LA. Just let the quilt chair know that you are leaving the retreat center.
